2013 International study tour to Dublin/London

In fall 2013, PDK and EF brought members on a 10-day global study tour to Dublin and London. The tour provided an exciting blend of professional development opportunities and sightseeing, including sessions with education leaders in each city and trips to historic locales, such as St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Shakespeare’s birthplace.

Members from FEA, PLT, and PDK recently returned from a professional development trip to Dublin, Wales, and London. Forty educators from around the United States participated in the 10-day trip, which included visits to various historical places around Ireland and the UK. The group also participated in educational site visits to Trinity College Dublin, where the educators interacted with the School of Education and the Global Relations (international students) division; Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design, and Technology; Darrell Primary School; The Institute of Education at the University of London; Windham Nursery School; and Chelsea Academy. The organized site visits crossed the spectrum of early childhood education to elementary education, secondary education, university education, and teacher training. At each visit, the group also observed students and participated in discussions with senior staff members. Photo: Jason Wu
