Provides $1,500 for tuition or books for part-time or full-time students.
Provides $1,000 in tuition support to outstanding undergraduate members of Pi Lambda Theta.
Provides up to $5,000 to support the development, implementation, and sharing of new teaching strategies aligned with rigorous college and career standards.
Provides $1,000 to an outstanding K-12 teacher who is pursuing a graduate degree and who either is a music education teacher or applies music systematically in teaching another subject.
Provides $1,000 for tuition to an outstanding student who intends to pursue a career at the K-12 level as a physical education teacher, adapted physical education teacher, coach, recreational therapist, dance therapist or similar professional focusing on teaching the knowledge and use of the human body. A recipient may be a full-time or a part-time student.
Recognizes an education major who has displayed leadership potential and a strong dedication to education.
Awarded to Pi Lambda Theta members to defray the cost of attending conferences to make scholarly presentations.
Presented in recognition of an outstanding graduate student who has made significant contributions to local or national education efforts while an education major in a college or university.
The Janyce Yoshizawa Excellence in Classroom Teaching Award is presented in recognition of outstanding classroom teaching in grades K-6.
Frances F. Shimotsu professional development grants are awarded to reimburse costs that chapter leaders incur to attend Pi Lambda Theta Biennial Councils. Their purpose is to strengthen chapter leadership.
