Test-drive National Board Certification
In these uncertain times, National Board Certification matters more than ever! Thanks to a collaboration with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, PLT offers you a fee discount for the National Board’s Take One!®
What is Take One!?
Take One! allows you to commit yourself to just one of the ten assessment components of National Board Certification. Participants select the appropriate certificate area and study the NBPTS Standards for their teaching discipline, and complete a video portfolio to submit to NBPTS to be scored. The National Board’s 3-year experience requirement does not apply to Take One!, and your Take One! score can count toward full certification.
PLT Member Discount
PLT members pay only $355 for Take One!, $40 off the standard Take One! fee. With only a small commitment of time and money, you can move forward with confidence born of your own success.
Sign up for Take One!
Visit the NBPTS Take One! website for more information and to sign up!
IMPORTANT: To ensure you receive your PLT discount, be sure to enter $355 in the payment amount box when completing your order, and print your Take One! order confirmation screen, which is your only record of your Take One! ID number. Then email your Take One! ID to firstname.lastname@example.org along with your name. We will verify your membership status and forward the verification on to the NBPTS.
Your participation will be activated and the deadlines for your submission year will apply as soon as your fee is paid and your PLT membership confirmed.
If you need help with completing your order or after your order has been placed, please call 1-800-22TEACH to talk to someone at the NBPTS. If you have already submitted an order form, please have your Take One! ID number available when you make your inquiry.
