New teachers need all the help they can get in the classroom. What have you learned that others can use to improve their own classrooms? What did you try that didn’t work? What are some things teachers absolutely need to do? What unexpected issues arose?
Pi Lambda Theta members are invited to submit articles for Classroom Tips, one-page essays that you can quickly read, absorb, and use to implement positive changes in your classroom. You can learn from other teachers’ experiences with these topics and take advantage of their tips for what to do — or not do.
Classroom Tips are published online in October, December, February, April, and June. Your article should be written in a conversational style and include your own experiences with the topic.
Check out upcoming themes, deadlines, and submission guidelines. Submissions are now being accepted for the April 2012 issue: How do you recognize and respond to signs of possible student abuse/neglect? The deadline is Jan. 31.
